People, no matter how we try not to group them together, are usually classified in various social groups. In most places and in communities or institutions, especially in universities or in school, there are different social groups such as the jocks, the rebels, and so on. But who will forget the ever so smart group of people in school called the nerds or the geeks? Most of the time, these nerds are played out and shown on television shows and movies as weak people who are always bullied by the jocks. They are also classified as the intellectuals in the crowd of people. They are also said to be obsessive, shy, and are so not into sports. They are said to be quirky and are usually described as unattractive. In movies, they wear outfits that include glasses and bringing books all the time.
However, these are merely stereotypes usually classified in school or in these movies. Nerds are not that bad. You cannot absolutely overgeneralize people. For some people one might think that being smart is a plus, for some it might be intimidating. But nevertheless, instead of thinking about all the negative impressions on nerds and feeling bad as being classified as a nerd, use these descriptions of nerds as an advantage specifically on losing weights. They usually illustrate nerds and geeks as people who are usually seen with books. Why not be that and read books related to your health. Find books and magazines that give tips and knowledge on losing weight or anything about nutrition and health. But do not just read it though, apply it in real life.
Physical activities are not just for jocks
Just because people say that nerds are not good in sports and have difficulty in doing so, does not mean that you cannot. Physical activities are for everyone, there are no rules and restriction that only those who are good should be physically active. And physically active does not necessarily mean excessive sports and the like. It just means that you should move around. Just sitting helps you gain weight, you know. Take a walk outside, even a 45-minute walk every day can help in losing weight. Do that.
